A Lead Technical Artist and Digital Sculptor based in Los Angeles, California. Andrew Smith was born on October second in Detroit. His childhood was spent growing up in Kentwood, Michigan where he shared his time between his Sega Genisis, playing ice hockey, and suiting up on the football field. After high school, he spent a legendary five years at Ferris State University where he earned his Bachelor Degree in Digital Animation and Game Design. While experimenting in many different mediums, he found his true passion for digital art by working with companies like Yeti CGI and Sideshow Collectibles.

Currently he lives in Los Angeles, California where he works as the lead artist on the Virtual Patient project at the University of Southern California's Institute for Creative technologies. He moved here in 2009 where he began developing the industries most inovative virtual humans that are used in the US military's digital simulations.
